DESCRIPTION

Our bartenders prepare and serve drinks in a friendly and warm manner in all our bars and restaurants. They’re masters of bartending, from service and drink preparation to cleaning and inventory control.

DAY IN THE LIFE

The morning starts with bar preparation: checking stock, ensure fruit is cut and glasses polished. Each day, the special cocktail of the day needs to be created and presented during every pre-shift briefing. During lunch and dinner, our bartenders recommend our Argentine wines, and mix our signature cocktails, showcasing their skills as trained baristas. At the end of the day, a thorough clean down and restock is essential, ready for tomorrow’s service.

During your time at our Training Academy, you’ll learn all about our famous Argentine wines, learn how to prepare our unique South American-influenced cocktails and develop a working knowledge of all the classics. The ability to read our guests likes and recommend or create for them the perfect drink will make their visit to Gaucho a memorable experience. You have a big role to play.

CAREER & DEVELOPMENT

We believe that bartending is a career, not just a job. We provide world-class coaching and development – but you need to be ready for the challenge and embrace all the training we have to offer you.

Some of our team start as dispense bartenders before becoming a fully qualified Gaucho bartender. Once you’ve qualified, you can progress through our bartender certification. A Gold certification is the first step to becoming a Head Bartender. Our Head Bartenders can look forward to a career as a Bar Manager, Sommelier or Assistant Manager. And if you want to work abroad, there are plenty of international opportunities for all our staff.
